Why I Love What I Do

by KJ Nasrul

Nothing beats the happiness that comes from being able to spend your time doing what you love the most. The way you feel about the work you perform actually shows in the quality of your craft and the relationships you have with the clients you serve. When you devote your time and energy to pursuits that bring you joy, life no longer seems like a chore. It does not feel like a struggle to wake up in the morning; rather, it feels like the beginning of an exciting day.

When I look back on times when I struggled with myself. When I felt like an outsider and unwelcome in situations where I was surrounded by other people. When I kept my distance from the outside world, I lack the self-assurance to discuss my thoughts, I don't engage in social activities, and I don't speak up. It felt as though the entire world was conspiring against me; depression, anxiety, and self-shaming prevented me from showing to the world who I truly am and the things I am capable of. I can't help but think about the younger version of myself and wonder whether she's proud of where I am today. I have no doubt that she is.

You definitely are in for some surprises in life. Everything that happens in your life has a purpose and you have a role to play in this world. Who would have believed that I could actually become everything that I've ever dreamed of?

What I love about what I do is being able to live out my calling and support you in conquering your challenges and sharing your story. I love being able to use my knowledge and experience to support my fellow women who struggle with self-shaming and transform their self-shaming into celebrations of strength. I can also help those in the health care and education industries to refuel their inner resilience stories so they can continue to heal their communities on the front lines.

When a client provides me with encouraging feedback or a heartfelt testimonial, my heart literally bursts with joy.

Victoria, one of my clients, shared that she gained a lot of new insights during the retreat, which enabled her to better organize her thoughts and feel more hopeful about achieving her goals. She now has a clearer sense of direction and purpose for the artwork and photographs she creates. When it came to figuring out what to do, she honed her ability to pay attention to what her body was telling her. She came to realize that the knowledge and experiences she has gained can be beneficial to other people.

My client, Ryan, said that I provide a distinct, immediate sense of warmth and presence, as well as a sense of serenity and invitation. I emanate enthusiasm and joy when we first meet. It speaks volumes coming from him that he was entirely honest and more fully himself than ever before. He may now transform his negative framework and way of thinking into more uplifting language and frames of reference. He said that our work had helped in the development of an internal compass for the still-to-come creative voyage in life.

Being able to be a part of your healing journey and to be able to guide you to the right path of connecting to your power and creativity is one of the reasons why I love what I do. Your stories motivate me to accomplish more and to provide my utmost effort. There is no amount of money or material things that can match the positive feedback that you give, which compels other people to seek my advice on how to tap the inner resources that are already within themselves.

I am one of the people who is living proof that if you love what you do, everything else in your life will fall into place as it should. When you start to develop a connection to your skills and engage in pursuits that you enjoy, you'll begin to inspire positive change in the world around you.

It matters a lot what kind of attitude you choose to have at work. Think positively and be aware of the advantages you are bringing about for yourself. Work will improve and get simpler as you go toward accomplishment.

Compassion for oneself is one of the most neglected areas of self-care.
